The Truda Foods staff in Mkhondeni partnered with co-workers to launch a program called ‘Sibuyisa Ithemba’ (We Restore Hope) in the Mgungundlovu community. The program is led by Truda Foods supervisors and supported by company’s branch manager.
At the Mpumelelo Primary School, which is the first beneficiary of this program (We Restore Hope) the company’s supervisors representative, Danisile Mlomo, explained the importance of the company’s and supervisors initiative to support students from the nearby school. The Truda Foods supervisors donated uniforms to ten students.

Speaking to the media, Sphiwe Mbanjwa, representing the workers, expressed gratitude to the management and the company for their support. He emphasized the importance of community outreach programs and encouraged others to follow suit.

The branch manager of Truda Foods, Percy Zondi, stated that the company’s initiative aims to give back to the community and promote social responsibility. He emphasized the importance of leadership and community involvement.Furthermore Percy Zondi also said ,he is glad that he implemented the plan to supervisors and they grabed that plan accordingly especially all funds were raised by supervisors which symbolises excellence leadership.

The school’s deputy principal, Mrs Mahlaba expressed gratitude to the company staff for their support and noted that the donation of uniforms was a significant boost to the students of Mpumelelo Primary School.
Therefore according to what is been stated by Percy Zondi on the media briefing after they completed their initiative , he said this program will benefit most of the citizen of South Africa since they started well and hope this will expand to other regions except Pietermaritzburg ,noted that Truda Foods is one of the biggest company in Southern Africa.
